To tell the story of how Scott Frost became the new football coach for Nebraska, Tim Parks, Creative Director at the Omaha World-Herald, approached me with an innovative idea — to create a comic book.

Work began well before publication with the development of a script, extensive photo research, and detailed storyboarding. Once this preproduction phase was complete, I embarked on the months-long process of laying out, penciling, inking, and coloring the sequential artwork.

The comic was serialized over six days in the newspaper’s print edition, followed by a full comic book–format release available for purchase both online and in person.
