PROJECT NO.5

Nebraska eats and breathes Husker football, and the coverage was a key revenue driver for the Omaha World-Herald. We were given the time and resources to create exciting, premium print products fans expected each season.

I served as the lead illustrator for our annual season preview special sections and weekly game previews. Yearly visual themes were meticulously planned by Creative Director Tim Parks, Dave Elsesser, and the Sports department, and we collaborated closely on conceptualizing visuals, selecting artistic mediums, and defining styles to deliver industry-leading football coverage.

Throughout the 2010s, our work was consistently recognized with awards from the Society for News Design and the Great Plains Journalism Awards.
